Dr. Amy Rothenberg has practiced since 1986. Her 2023 Amazon Bestseller, You Finished Treatment, Now What? A Field Guide for Cancer Survivors won a Nautilus Book Award. Dr. Rothenberg was the long-time medical editor for the INM. She has offered 100s of public-facing talks and guest lectures at medical schools, colleges, and for industry. She spearheaded the effort to license NDs in Massachusetts and has served on our national and state boards. She is the AANP 2017 Physician of the Year. Through the New England School of Homeopathy, together with Dr. Paul Herscu, she has trained hundreds of practitioners and had the opportunity to travel the world through teaching and volunteer efforts. They raised their three children with the benefits of natural medicine and continue to enjoy the challenges, pleasures, and surprises of family life, including a first grandchild. When not working, Dr. Rothenberg enjoys time with family and friends, being in nature, puttering in the garden and the kitchen, and on the ballroom dance floor.

Dr. Paul Herscu is an original thinker and prolific author in the field of homeopathy and teaches worldwide. His first book, The Homeopathic Treatment of Children: Pediatric Constitutional Types is a classic. His philosophy of homeopathic medicine, Cycles and Segments is a unified, organized approach to this difficult-to-teach modality. Dr. Herscu holds a Master’s degree in Public Health and publishes in the world of study design for natural medicine and in the application of natural medicine approaches in the public health sector. Dr. Herscu, along with Amy Rothenberg ND, spearheaded the effort to license NDs in Massachusetts. He serves as the inaugural chair of the Licensing Board appointed by the Governor. Teaching through the NESH since 1990, Dr. Herscu continues his life work: bringing clarity and understanding to the teaching and practice of homeopathy so it may be used in a consistent, effective manner to reduce suffering in the world.

Leah Hollon, nd, mph

Dr. Leah Hollon holds a BS in Psychology from VCU and an MPH from VCU School of Medicine. She completed her ND degree and residency training at NUNM. She served as an Assistant Professor at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy and currently serves as faculty at University of Cincinnati in Pharmacogenomics. She is a reviewer for the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and has been published in alternative medicine and nutrigenomics and the gut microbiome. Dr. Hollon currently serves as a member of the VAANP and the Board of Directors for NUNM. She is the founder and co-owner of Richmond Natural Medicine where she presently serves as the residency site coordinator for the first accredited naturopathic residency in Virginia. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, dancing, and spending time at the ocean.

heidi weinhold, nd

Dr. Heidi Weinhold received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Washington & Jefferson College, and received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Sonoran University of Health Sciences in Tempe, Arizona. In 2013 she received the Alumni Award from Sonoran University of Health Sciences in recognition of her contribution towards the advancement of Naturopathic Medicine. In 2017, her alma mater awarded her with an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.  Dr. Weinhold received the 2017 Physician of the Year Award from the Pennsylvania Association of Naturopathic Physicians.  Dr. Weinhold has a private practice and is the managing partner for Appalachian Botanical Company, LLC, a women-owned small business located in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.  She specializes in natural modalities to manage autoimmune conditions, to help manage side effects during conventional cancer treatment, and to help relieve stress and anxiety.
