The 2017 Conference Committee is looking for a wide variety of interesting topics for the conference.  The theme for this year’s conference is

Nature vs Nurture: “-omics” In the Context of Whole-Person Naturopathic Care

Healthcare is an ever-changing landscape, and Naturopathic Medicine continues to be an essential part of any truly comprehensive care plan. As technology and our understanding of the molecular world evolve, advances allow us to move toward more precise, personalized, and preventive care. The exciting growth we are seeing in the fields of Genomics, Nutrigenomics, Metabolomics, Proteomics, Transcriptomics and Epigenetics promise to bring medicine into a new era. As providers of whole-person holistic care, Naturopathic and Integrative Physicians must be the bridge of knowledge between novel technologies and time-honored approaches to care that put the patient first.
The NYANP is seeking thought leaders and clinicians who are applying exciting new technologies that will help shape the future of medicine while remaining true to the principles of Naturopathic Medicine. Presentations should provide context as to how to best apply genomic and other approaches to direct clinical care. Help us to explore medicine’s most monumental debate: How to best harness the realities of Nature AND Nurture.

Conference Attendees

Conference attendees are mostly experienced naturopathic physicians, although the conference is also attended by a few pharmacists, medical/osteopathic doctors, nurse practitioners, chiropractors, and other health care professionals.
